Studies and projects for urban and industrial waste water treatment
In relation to waste water, CGS carries out studies and projects relating to sanitation, collection, outfall and discharge networks. It also performs studies on wastewater treatment plants (EDAR), wastewater pumping stations (EBAR) and everything related to the reuse of treated water.
Studies and projects on the treatment of drinking water
CGS offers the following range of services related to the treatment of drinking water:
- Collection and pumping stations
- Supply, distribution and outfall networks
- Drinking water treatment plants (ETAP)
- Regulation tanks
- Desalination of seawater and brackish water
- Collection of seawater for treatment
- Desalination of polluted water
- Supply of water to remote locations
- Restoration of wells
- Restoration of aquifers with saltwater intrusions
- Retrofitting of old plants with up-to-date technology and application of advanced operating and maintenance processes
- Processes for the control and analysis of deviations
- Multi-year assessment and optimal use of membranes and chemical products
- Implementation of new design and technology concepts in desalination projects to be performed
- Microfiltration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis membranes with high resistance in the presence of organic pollution
- Reduction of the content of nitrate and other salts by reverse osmosis, electrodialysis and ionic exchange
- Determination of the optimal methods for all water types
Crop inventory
With respect to crops, CGS performs mapping, calculates the areas cultivated and implements the irrigation system in addition to handling administrative matters.
Water and soil quality and pollution
CGS is a pioneer in water and soil quality and pollution. CGS carries out studies, diagnostics and analysis on the risk of pollution by hydrocarbons and other contaminants; develops recovery plans and projects for the recovery and clean-up of soils, aquifers and rivers; and designs, constructs, implements and operates control networks.
Climate change
Other significant services provided by CGS are those relating to climate change and greenhouse gas emissions such as CO2 capture and storage projects (CCS technologies). CGS selects and characterizes favorable structures: geology, hydrology, geophysics, borehole drilling, modeling and evaluation of behavior and monitoring.
Landfills, underground storage facilities and waste safety tanks
CGS offers characterization and minimization of toxic and dangerous waste, oil and gas and CO2 services. CGS also designs operation, control and closure plans and selects and characterizes sites for the storage of urban, toxic and dangerous waste, oil and gas and brine.
Environmental impact
In this section, CGS carries out preliminary environmental studies, describes the environment and characterizes and evaluates the effects and corrective measures.
Sustainable development
As regards sustainable development, the Company designs environmental and Agenda 21 plans, performs studies on sustainability and climate change and carries out audits.
Environmental studies
CGS carries out studies concerning ecology, flora and fauna, natural risks (fires, landslides, floods and desertification) and meteorology.
Environment and landscape restoration
CGS creates plans for the restoration of riverbeds, mines, ponds, and abandoned industries, landfills and infrastructure.
Forestry work
With regards to forestry work, CGS designs and plans the organization and management of natural resources (forests, fishing and hunting grounds), reforestation and silviculture treatment, hydrological-forest restoration, rural environment infrastructure and protected natural lands.
Studies on use and demand
Estimates of the water needs of crops
Land grants and type of land use
Irrigable land projects
CGS delimits the boundaries of irrigable areas, carries out subsoil studies, designs the organization and optimization of irrigable land, plans the irrigation networks and performs economic studies of the irrigable land.
Other agronomic matters
CGS researches the chemical quality of the water in irrigable land and designs greenhouses and the application of geothermal energy.
