Groundwater collection
CGS performs hydrogeological studies to mark out locations for wells and boreholes for water extraction, as well as to determine the design, project, implementation, site management, development and capacity for groundwater collection work and electromagnetic equipment.
- Characterization of hydrogeological units, performance of hydrogeological inventories and measurement of control networks
- Evaluation of groundwater resources and reserves
- Work on deep aquifers
- Groundwater mining and management and development of rules for granting mining concessions
- Protection of aquifers (protection perimeters)
- Implementation of mathematical models to simulate hydrogeological flow processes and substance (solutes, non-miscible liquids, etc.) and heat transport
- Implementation of mathematical models for comprehensive management of water systems
Drought
CGS has extensive experience setting up emergency solutions during drought with groundwater supply
Performance of feasibility studies, resource analysis and general planning for drought management
Local hydrogeology
CGS evaluates aquifer flows, performs pumping tests and constructs wells.
The Company studies the overuse of aquifers and analyzes and performs artificial recharges.
CGS also carries out mathematical models of infiltration processes at a local level (nitrates, pesticides, etc.).
It executes piezometric control networks and researches quality and pollution of drainage basins, hydrogeological units and aquifers.
Groundwater quality and pollution
Researches and implements solutions for saltwater intrusion in coastal aquifers
Diagnoses and remedies pollution from hydrocarbons, heavy metals and other contaminants
Carries out decontamination studies, projects and work
Estimates the possibility of natural attenuation as a remediation option
Performs mathematical models of complex transport (reactive transport, density dependent transport, multiphase transport, etc.)
Renewable energies
As regards renewable energies, CGS carries out studies on groundwater supply to solar energy plants and designs and develops geothermal fields to be used in HVAC systems for buildings.
