Hydraulics
CGS carries out weir and large dam studies and projects encompassing site location, feasibility and viability studies and project execution. Also, CGS carries out projects to increase and optimize reservoir levels and performs geographical-geotechnical surveys:
- Construction and interpretation of test pits, wells and trials
- Geophysical research
- Drafting of geological maps and three-dimensional graphic models
- Studies of foundations, materials and loans
- Seismotectonic studies
Reservoirs and dams
- Other services related to reservoirs and dams include:
- Dam-break simulation and demarcation of affected areas and flood zones
- Dam structure and stability calculation
- Studies on reservoir regulation and operation
- Studies on structural pathologies and their materials (concrete, etc.)
- Flood control studies
- Design, modification or reparation of spillways and other drainage channels
- Leak tracking and filtration control
- Auscultation and instrumentation automation projects
- Drafting of inspection reports and of the documentation required by dam and reservoir safety legislation (operating rules, technical files, emergency plans safety review, XYZT documents, etc.)
Rivers and channels
As regards rivers and channels, CGS offers the following services:
- Riverbed studies and projects
- River channeling and flood defense work
- Flood level calculation and definition of river flood boundaries
- Mathematical models for the hydraulic simulation of riverbeds
- Transfer and large piping works
- Plans for channels with new bases and control basins
- Design of cross hydraulic construction works: aqueducts, siphons and tunnels
- Projects to increase capacity of, repair and modify channels
- Construction projects for gauging stations
- Design of supply networks and large irrigation areas
- Studies for the marking out and demarcation of public water supply and maritime land
