Geology
CGS maps local as well as regional geography. Its team of highly experienced geologists has drafted 20% of Spain’s geological cartography. Within this field, CGS provides services related to geomorphology and surface formation, cartography and geological risk assessment, edaphology, soil mapping, environmental cartography, selection and characterization of underground sites (CO2 sequestering, waste storage) and land analysis (land capacity).
In addition, CGS offers comprehensive geological project management services and collaborates, among other things, on the construction of railroad tunnels in order to optimize design, meet costs and reduce time periods.
Mining
CGS carries out mainly prospecting for energy minerals, metals and industrial and ornamental rock with the Company’s own machinery. CGS has worked in the principal mining basins in Spain.
In addition to prospecting, CGS also carries out feasibility and market studies, environmental impact studies, abandoned site restoration and geothermal resource prospecting and evaluation.
