Exploratory well drilling in the aquifers of the Oviedo-Llanera-Siero basin in order to improve supply to central Asturias

In view of the drought that the Iberian Peninsula has been suffering in recent years, it has become clear that research needs to be conducted on groundwater in certain areas with traditionally surplus water resources, such as Asturias. The purpose behind the drilling of two exploratory wells and two groundwater collector wells, geological and geophysical testing, pumping tests, sample taking and water analysis is to determine the hydrogeological potential of supplying groundwater to Asturias during periods of drought.
